Hello! And welcome to Sprachenatelier Berlin's Blog!

Sprachenatelier is a language school based in the trendy Eastern district of Friedrichshain, next to central Berlin. The school is based in a listed 20th century building which is located on Frankfurter Allee, one of Berlin's oldest roads. We founded Sprachenatelier Berlin in 2003 as both a school and a studio; an institute where language learning is enhanced by a creative and immersive atmosphere and intercultural exchange. The studio space still features the original interior design and is the setting for regular cultural events such as art exhibitions, book readings and concerts. Thirteen years later and we are still dedicated to this approach.

Offering lessons for all different levels, our German courses make up the core of our language program. Depending on your knowledge of the language, there is something for everyone, from complete beginners to „German for Doctors“. As well as our wide selection of German courses, we also offer courses in more than 45 other foreign languages, including Slovenian, Korean, Icelandic and many more. Foreign language courses at the Sprachenatelier Berlin are taught by qualified native speakers, who use practical methods that help our students to respond to all kinds of situations. Our lessons are targeted to the specific needs of each participant as well as the different demands of everyday life.

A main focus of ours in regards to language learning is intercultural competency. This includes the ability to interact and communicate with people from different cultural backgrounds through more than language alone. At Sprachenatelier, we want to help transcend cultural barriers. We understand that learning another language and improving your knowledge of the culture in which it operates are equally important and that, by combining both, you can be one step closer to reaching your goal and opening up a whole new part of the world through language!

But enough about us! This blog will be dedicated to continuing our love for the art and culture of language, posting fun facts, interesting history and perhaps even some tips for our fellow language learners. We will post something every week, so stay tuned and we will see you next week!
